ABSTRACT
The crude commercial fish oil was analysed qualitatively and quantitatively by gas liquid chromatography. The major fatty acids detected in this oil were as follow: 24.8% stearic,23.6% palmitic, 9.84% myristic, 6.56% octadecatetraenoic acids. The physical and chemical properties of crude commercial fish oil were established,some deodorization methods were applied and the obtained results were discussed.
