Abstract

The aim of this study is to perform of the calibration of methods used to determine draft force, slippage and fuel consumption by means of Two-Tractors Method. Another scope of the study was to obtain some performance data (draft force, slippage, and fuel consumption) of some tools and machinery, which are generally come to use in tillage independence of farm size present in the region. In this study, draft force, slip, forwarding speed and fuel consumption measurements of tillage equipments in the region such as, plough, chisel plough, cultivator, and combination of spring-tine cultivator and harrow with spring teeth were determined. Measuring apparatus aided by computer, to determine the draft force of agricultural tools and machinery, is portable, universal and mountable easily on a tractor. In measuring slippage values and signals coming from magnetic receivers placed fixedly on the wheels were recorded and displayed on a special screen. It works properly without being affected by the field slope. Both draft force and slippage apparatus proved to be reliable on measurements obtained.
